This personnel database of all those involved in printing and the allied book trades will be an important resource for Australasian and overseas researchers. A preliminary scoping study has been undertaken by researchers at Victoria University of Wellington; discussions are ongoing with the Digital Humanities Research Unit at Western Sydney University, and the Bibliographical Society of Australia and New Zealand.

Initially, we will mount an interactive website to encourage researchers to contribute data about book trade personnel in New Zealand and Australia. This will become part of a searchable online database. Watch this space!
