An exciting opportunity for a qualified practitioner with experience in the information sector to combine their administrative skills with their practitioner experience in support of post-experience Information Studies programmes.

We seek a qualified practitioner with experience in the information sector to provide administrative, tutorial and teaching support for the course coordinators and the students of the post-experience Information Studies programmes - Master of Information Studies (MIS), PGDipIS, PGCertIS. This role has a specific responsibility for distance students (South Island and the lower half of the North Island) and for on-campus students.

You will be involved in:

• providing student consultation and tutorial support for both distance students and on-campus students
• marketing and promotion of the programmes
• preparing and delivering web materials, tutorials, practical classes and distance education classes for designated courses
• marking assignments for designated courses
• organising the annual Orientation programmes in Wellington and the South Island
• providing support to staff and students for educational technologies used in the programmes including on-line delivery of classes
• There will be some occasional evening and Saturday work and there will also be some occasional travel. This position will suit a graduate in Information Studies.
