Te Tatua o Kahukura Workshop
Te Tatua o Kahukura Workshop
On 10th June 2015 at Akopai Marae, Karori Campus - MAI ki Pōneke held a workshop on behalf of Te Kotahi Institute to investigate the journey beyond the PhD. The workshop was run by Dr Leonie Pihama, Dr Jenny Lee and Dr Sarah-Jane Tiakiwai and after a chur impromptu pōwhiri we listened to korero about the ‘career pipeline’ and put our own thoughts down on paper about what life after the PhD meant for us. This research will go towards developing the MAI programme post-PhD. After a big hakari we were inspired by our guest speaker Dr Kathie Irwin about publishing and what a difference your academic achievements can make for generations to come. A big thank you to everyone who gave their time to the workshop. A second follow up workshop will be held next year.
