How to apply

Before you apply, you need to have approval from the programme director, Professor Elaine Dennison. It’s important you have a project in mind and a potential supervisor lined up before you apply.

You'll need to:

  • check you meet the entry requirements
  • find out what admission type applies to you
  • email a brief CV to the programme director
  • if you’re approved to proceed, you'll be asked to send in your academic transcript
  • once approved, you apply online.

Studying outside the University

If you wish to complete your Master’s thesis at a site outside the University, you'll need to apply to do this. Request an application form by emailing the Faculty of Science. You’ll need to describe your proposed project and include a letter of recommendation from a supervisor at the site, and their CV.

If approved, the University will nominate a suitable member of the academic staff as a co-supervisor—to provide general guidance and advice regarding university regulations and processes.
