Requirements for international students who studied in

To be accepted into this programme you will need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with an average grade of at least B+ in the final year of study

  • to meet the entry requirements of the Nursing Council of New Zealand/Te Kaunihera Tapuhi o Aotearoa

  • to have been accepted by the Head of School as capable of proceeding with the proposed course of study

Important information

  • Students whose undergraduate qualification is from outside health or sciences may be required to complete some further study that provides basic concepts in chemistry, anatomy, and physiology. This will be assessed as part of the application and selection process.
  • A candidate will normally be enrolled for at least four trimesters and must complete the degree within five years of initial enrolment to meet the standards of the Nursing Council of New Zealand/Te Kaunihera Tapuhi o Aotearoa.
  • When you apply, you’ll need to provide a CV, personal declarations, and two referees. Find out more about what you’ll need to provide when you apply.
  • To complete the programme and participate in the required clinical learning experiences, you must provide proof of immunisation and a first-aid certificate. Read more about the documentation you’ll need to provide after you apply.

Programme requirements

For this programme you’ll need to:

  • Complete 240 points

  • Complete at least 1,100 hours of clinical learning experience, gained through the courses listed above and on the regulations schedule.
