The year is packed with opportunities to network, develop skills, and build knowledge. I knew from the way the Master’s was designed that it would allow me to step into a career as a researcher.
I’ve always been passionate about human health so this programme was perfect for me. The year is packed with opportunities to network, develop skills and build knowledge. I knew from the way the Master’s was designed that it would allow me to step into a career as a researcher.
I completed a 3-month practicum at the Medical Research Institute of New Zealand, this was followed by a summer internship. This allowed me to work with some to the top clinical researchers here in Wellington.
During my last week of the Master’s, I was fortunate enough to be offered a position at the Malaghan Institute of Medical Research. I am now a research officer in the Parasite and Allergy team, working alongside some of my former lecturers.
