To be accepted into this programme you will need
:Points to consider when making your choices
You’ll need a good level of achievement in Mathematics at NCEA Level 3 in order to enrol in all of the BE(Hons) majors:
- If you're majoring in Cybersecurity Engineering (CYBR), Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEEN), or Software Engineering (SWEN) you need 16 credits in NCEA Level 3 Mathematics.
If you don't have enough NCEA Mathematics credits to enrol in the Maths and/or Physics courses you need to take in your first year, you can catch up by taking an introductory (or bridging) course such as MATH 132. Although it may be possible to study MATH 132 in Trimester 3 (over the summer), you need to understand that this means your degree will almost certainly take longer.
If you don't have the required credits for entry to the BE(Hons) major of your choice, you can apply for the Bachelor of Science degree and major in Computer Science or Electronic and Computer Systems. If you do well you might be able to transfer into the BE(Hons) later on.
