This trimester in PHIL443 we will be looking at a current debate in aesthetics. We will read Thi Nguyen's award-winning book, Games: Agency as Art (OUP 2020)
Course learning objectives
Students who pass this course should be able to:
Understand the wide variety of philosophical views on the relevant theory of value under consideration.
Properly evaluate contributions to the debate about the relevant theory of value under consideration.
Under supervision, embark on a research project in this area.

Class representative
The class representative provides a useful way to communicate feedback to the teaching staff during the course. They also work with the VUWSA Education Office on any academic issues that arise in their course. Reps are elected by students by the third week of classes every trimester. Being a rep requires a weekly commitment.
