ARTH489 students will be supported through regular one-on-one meetings with their assigned supervisor, as well as a regular seminar series that will guide you through the mechanics of research, and writing an extended text.
Course learning objectives
Students who pass this course should be able to:
apply their skills of analysis to critically examine visual and textual material
work independently - formulate, analyse and refine topics
consistently apply the conventions of academic writing and art historical research

Class representative
The class representative provides a useful way to communicate feedback to the teaching staff during the course. They also work with the VUWSA Education Office on any academic issues that arise in their course. Reps are elected by students by the third week of classes every trimester. Being a rep requires a weekly commitment.
