Professor XIA Youfu

Biography

Born in 1963, Professor Xia Youfu is Executive Director of China Strategy Research Center for Open Economy and International Technology Cooperation in University of International Business & Economics (UIBE), China . His researches focus on open economics and global strategy, China’s exports and imports of agricultural products and global agricultural development, Belt and Road strategy and China’s outward agricultural investment development. He obtained bachelor and Master in Economics (international trade), in 1984 and 1987 respectively in UIBE. In 1995, he became full professor in International Trade of UIBE. He is the Chairman of WTO Experts Consultancy Committee to Ministry of Commerce(China) on Trade and Environment of the Doha Round Negotiation, adviser of China Green Food Development Center, Ministry of Agriculture, China, and agricultural Expert to China Development Bank. He has obtained more than 20 awards, issued more than 20 books and 100 papers, finished more than 60 research projects.
