The New Zealand Contemporary China Research Centre invites you to a seminar entitled The Chinese Economy: Patterns and Trends
On Monday 28 February 2011 at 12pm, Wood Seminar Room, Professor Wang Tongsan presented a comprehensive and up-to-date assessment of the current state of the Chinese economy on macro indicators and dynamics, and the major challenges the economy faces, against the backdrop of the 30 year rapid economic growth and transformation.
About the speaker
Professor Wang is Professor of Economics and Director of the Institute of Quantitative and Technical Economics at CASS. Professor Wang is a leading scholar in China in macroeconomic modelling and forecasting. He is a principal participant in the Global Economic Modelling and Forecasting project led by Nobel Laureate Economist Professor Lawrence Klein, in charge of the modelling of the Chinese economy. Professor Wang is also a leading investigator in key Chinese national research projects including Modelling of Technology Advance and Industrial Structure, and is Chief Writer for the State Council’s annual report, China’s Economic Situation: Analysis and Forecast. Professor Wang is visiting the NZ Contemporary China Research Centre with a 7-member delegation from CASS.
