About
The Chair of Wellbeing and Public Policy is focussed on promoting evidence-informed public policy that ensures intergenerational wellbeing for all.
The Chair was established in 2017 to build a bridge between the academic community and the policy community to ensure that academic knowledge about wellbeing and public policy is incorporated into practical policy design.
The main aim of the Chair is to enhance the conceptual and practical understandings of how public policy can raise the wellbeing of society and each of its members on a sustainable basis in New Zealand.
Professor Arthur Grimes is the inaugural and current holder of the Chair.
