Visit the craft market located on the ground floor of Rankine Brown.  All products made and sold by students and staff.

Community gardens

There are community gardens all over Wellington. They are fantastic places to connect with the local community while surrounding yourself with nature – and to learn more about gardens and growing.

If you need gardening advice or you’re interested in getting involved with a community garden, find your local one here.

Wellington City Council runs a Community Gardens Network that meets four times a year to exchange tips and allocate funding. If you want more information email communitysupport@wcc.govt.nz.

Free bread

Kaibosh delivers bread to VUWSA, Kelburn office each Friday during semester. Collect as much as you need on Friday from 11 am.

Fruit and vege co-ops

The Fruit & Vege Co-op provides local, fresh, seasonal produce every week at a low price across the Wellington region. You can find your nearest co-op here.

Community pantry

Pick up a free parcel of essentials, select from a variety of items.  You choose what goes in no questions asked. Submit your request by completing the Community Pantry Form before visiting the VUWSA office.
