Step 1: Apply for a new qualification

Apply for a place on a new certificate, diploma, Bachelor’s, Honours, or Master’s degree programme using our Pūaha portal.

Complete your enrolment by selecting your courses—once you’ve received your Offer of Place.

Current and returning students

You need to select your courses and re-enrol for each year of a multi-year degree. If you're returning to do Honours or start a Master's degree, your first step is to apply for the new qualification.

Upcoming dates

  • Start your studies in Trimester 1—complete your application to study by 21 January 2025 (for most programmes).
  • You can select your courses for 2025 now. If you‘re starting a new qualification, you need to have received your Offer of Place.

PhD and doctoral students

If you want to do a PhD or other doctorate, you'll apply through the Wellington Faculty of Graduate Research. It's the same process for both domestic and international students.
