Kahukura is a university student support service for LGBTQIA+, takatāpui, MVPFAFF+, and questioning students. They are situated under Manawa Ora—Student Wellbeing and Te Pūrengi—Student Experience and Wellbeing directorate. They provide students with holistic one-to-one wellbeing support and peer-support programs, as well as running health promotion initiatives and supporting inclusive practice at Te Herenga Waka.

The Rainbow Research Network is an interdisciplinary coalition of staff and postgraduate students at Te Herenga Waka who have a shared interest in research initiatives related to our LGBTQIA+, Takatāpui, and MVPFAFF+ communities. They are a cross-discipline group of researchers from a range of programmes, schools, and faculties, united by a shared commitment to create dedicated space for supporting intersectional research on gender, sex and sexuality, race, class, feminism, and queer and trans studies.
UniQ Victoria is Te Herenga Waka’s rainbow students’ association. They are a student-driven collective, striving to represent the voices of the rainbow student community with pride.
