Stay healthy—get vaccinated
Get vaccinated against the flu, meningitis, and other illnesses.
It is recommended that all students are fully immunised including against measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), meningococcal ACYW, meningococcal B, and pertussis (whooping cough).
The varicella immunisation is also recommended for students who have not had chickenpox disease or have not already completed a course of varicella immunisation.
The measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) immunisation is free for domestic students.
If you are in your first year of living in Halls of Residence, the Meningococcal B (Bexsero) and Meningococcal ACYW (MenQuadfi) are fully funded, otherwise, there is a cost associated with these vaccines and the Varicella (chickenpox) vaccine.
If you are not able to have these immunisations before arriving on campus, you can arrange to get them at Student Health, ideally during Orientation Week.
