I moved to New Zealand in June 2023 to continue work as a GP in student health—one of my favorite practice environments. I am originally from the southeast United States but my interests and career have taken me all over the US and world.

As a primary care provider and US specialist in adolescent and young adult medicine, I have been passionate about collaborating and co-learning with diverse young people to optimize their health and self-determination since the start of my medical career in 2004. I have particular interests and experience in mental well-being and sexual and reproductive health (including comprehensive family planning, PrEP, gender-affirming care). Through it all, I am dedicated to providing patient-centered, justice-driven care.

I am so happy to be in Wellington with my husband and two school-aged children. I spend non-clinical time being active outdoors, reading for pleasure and curiosity, writing poetry, growing my skills as a digital artist and storyteller, and traveling to new places near and far.
