About
I joined Victoria Student Counselling in 2017, after eight years counselling students at Massey University, and counselling adults and adolescents in a community agency and in private practice.
I came to counselling after many years working as a social researcher, and did my counselling training as a distance student, so I am familiar with the highs and lows of student life. I really enjoy helping students to deal with the ‘stuff’ life throws up and to find their way in the world.
As a counsellor, I want people to feel able to talk freely about what is troubling them, and to feel understood and empowered to make changes that will improve their lives.
I have a BA in German and Drama from Victoria University, a Diploma in Journalism, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling, and am a full member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors.
