Christmas and New Years hours
We just wanted to let you know about our opening times over the Christmas and New Year 2024/2025 holiday period and let you know where you can seek support on the days we are closed.
Student Health holiday hours

Repeat prescription requests
You can continue to make prescription requests online. Please note the special operating hours above and plan ahead as our online prescription request form will not be monitored on the selected days we are closed above.
Opening times—The University Pharmacy
The University Pharmacy will be closed from 4pm, Friday 20th December 2024 and will reopen on Wednesday 8th January 2025.
During this time, if you normally have your scripts sent here, you should seek alternative pharmacies for your scripts to be sent to.
Access to health support during closure days
Practice Plus is a telehealth service you can access for virtual appointments with a GP during the evening, weekends and public holidays. While registered with us, these appointments will be free and will be fully subsidized by Mauri Ora until further notice using our discount code. This would have been sent to you.
These are their operating hours over the Christmas/New Year period this year
- Public Holidays: 8 am–8 pm
- Weekdays: 9 am–10 pm
- Weekends: 8 am–8 pm

Wellington Accident and Urgent Medical Centre (WAMC) at 17 Adelaide Road, Mt Cook will be open throughout the Christmas period. This is a walk in service with no appointment necessary.
Additionally, you can also phone Healthline on 0800 611 116 for free general health advice from a registered nurse. They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For more info, please visit the Ministry of Health's website.
