Lindsay Bilodeau

Lindsay Bilodeau is researching the inclusion of indigenous languages in New Zealand and canadian museums.

Lindsay BilodeauLindsay Bilodeau is a member of the Algonquins of Pikwàkanagàn First Nation (Canada). She has a deep interest in issues surrounding the representation and preservation of indigenous knowledge(s) and perspectives.

Lindsay’s work experience includes multiple departments of the Federal Government of Canada, an art gallery, a zoo in the United Kingdom, and most recently, as a heritage services specialist and researcher for the Canadian Museum of History. She has a BA in history from Acadia University in Canada (2016) and an MA in museum studies from the University of Leicester (2017).

Lindsay’s research at Victoria University of Wellington focuses on indigenising museum spaces through the inclusion of indigenous languages. This will consider both Aotearoa New Zealand and Canadian contexts.
