I manage content on the NZHistory, Te Ara Encyclopedia of New Zealand and VietnamWar websites. This involves researching, sourcing and adding new content (written, audio, film), liaising with external stakeholders (writers, museums, archives, veterans groups), working with social media, and helping design and implement fresh and interesting ways to display our 'stuff' on the web.

The Museum and Heritage Studies programme is great platform from which to embark on a career in the cultural sector. I found the mix of academic theory and practical skills extremely valuable, and it was great to be able to tap into the professional contacts that the MHST staff have in institutions around Wellington and the rest of New Zealand. Gareth completed his Masters of Museum and Heritage Studies at Victoria University of Wellington in 2009.
