Tourism programmes TedQual accreditation

Victoria‘s Tourism Management Programme has gained international re-accreditation to TedQual for all Bachelor and Masters programmes, as well as new accreditation of its PhD programme.

"Victoria‘s full suite of tourism management programmes are accredited and we are one of only four universities worldwide with TedQual accreditation for a PhD in Tourism Management", says Professor Bob Buckle, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean, Victoria Business School.
"I would like to thank all staff who have contributed to this outstanding evaluation, which affirms that our programme is up there with the best."
The Programme was positively evaluated for its industry connections, curriculum structure, the strength of its research, and its high quality student supervision and programme administration.

Tourism Industry Association New Zealand (TIA) Chief Executive Martin Snedden offered his congratulations on the programme‘s successful accreditation.
"This international recognition enables employers in the tourism industry to view job applications from Victoria graduates with increased confidence.―It was particularly pleasing to see Victoria commended for its strong research culture, as it indicates that the programme is turning out graduates equipped with the latest ideas and knowledge."

The World Tourism Organisation's TedQual certification is awarded after independent external auditing of the degrees and of the University as a whole. This certification provides students, staff and employers with assurance that the quality of the Tourism Management degrees meets worldwide standards.
