Dr Jenny Neale made a Fellow of the Australasian Evaluation Society
At the recent Australasian Evaluation Society International Evaluation Conference, Dr Jenny Neale, a senior research associate in the Health Services Research Centre, was made a Fellow of the AES.
This designation of 'Fellow of the Society' was adopted by the AES in 2003 in order to recognise outstanding contributions by members to the Society and to evaluation more generally in Australasia.
Jenny is now one of the 13 Fellows, three of whom are New Zealanders.
Her citation recognised the overall contribution Jenny had made in terms of teaching evaluation and monitoring (latterly on GOVT 533) and through journal articles, book chapters and conference papers.
She has served AES in a variety of roles, including that of president, as a Wellington Committee member and on the two conference committees when the annual International AES conference was held in Wellington.
The importance of her mentoring role for Maori and Pacific evaluators was also highlighted.
