Profile
Marlini is from Singapore, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in business and a Master’s degree in marketing. Marlini’s interest for pursuing her PhD stems from her professional experience in the field of marketing, where she has worked in both in-house and agency environments, in Asia and Europe, with a focus on content development. Her current research topic fuses her love for travel and photography, where she explores the value of user-generated images as persuasive forms of word of mouth. Marlini also tutors at the School of Marketing and International Business, in subjects such as Consumer Behaviour, and Tourism Marketing. Additionally, she serves as a research assistant in the school, where current projects involve online healthcare marketing and social media use.
