Profile

Following her MA in English Translation Studies, Nastaran became profoundly fascinated by the world of performance and acting where the voice of the non-verbal sounds louder. She also developed an interest and curiosity in interdisciplinary research.

Nastaran decided to build upon her experience of drama/theatre translation studies by pursuing a PhD in Literary Translation Studies at Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington. Her PhD aimed to further her knowledge in semiotics and multimodality by engaging with paratext, and the book cover as forms of intersemiotic translation.
