Profile
Mariama Diallo is a PhD candidate in Literary Translation Studies. Their research centres on the literary potentialities enabled through poetry and translation surrounding the poetic works of Paul Celan, inspecting specifically his translative practices and their interlocution with his poetry and poetics, as well as the transformations of his work translated into other languages around the world, using a Decolonisation perspective. They received the MSc degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Edinburgh in 2021, where they investigated the poetic exile experiences of and translative poetic dialogue between Osip Mandelstam and Paul Celan.
