Pia White's Research into New Zealand Fiction Attracts Media Attention
For her Master of Information Studies research project, Pia White investigated the reasons why relatively few people read New Zealand fiction. Her results were featured by national weekend newspaper The Sunday Star-Times in a full page story. The online version of the article sparked a vigorous debate, with over 70 comments.
The research provides libraries, publishers, booksellers and writers with a better understanding of the market for NZ fiction.
