Support for Māori and Pasifika students
The School of English, Film, Theatre, Media and Communication, and Art History is committed to fulfilling our obligations under the Treaty of Waitangi. There is a range of services in place to support Māori and Pasifika students.

Disability liaison staff
The Disability Liaison Advocate is a member of staff who creates and supports an inclusive environment for students with impairments by providing a link between course coordinators, students, and student support services to ensure appropriate support and advice for students.

Te Amaru—Disability Services provide excellent support and advice for students with impairments. They are committed to leading Victoria University of Wellington to being an inclusive education provider and eliminating barriers for people with disabilities wherever they exist.
Support for international students
A variety of student support services is specifically targeted at ensuring the success and wellbeing of international students.
International Students liaison staff are representatives from English, Film, Theatre, Media and Communication, and Art History who can assist international students. They liaise between course coordinators, students, and student support services.
