Georgia Ah Kuoi
Meet Georgia, one of our Film students currently working towards her Bachelor of Arts.
"The FILM major is the perfect mix of creativity, collaboration and academia. You get to broaden your knowledge, work with others and be imaginative all at the same time. Studying film has also deepened my understanding of the world we live in. Whether they’re Italian, South American or from here in Aotearoa, engaging with films from a range of different countries has taught me more about the cultures of the world than I ever thought it would."
Choosing the university
Victoria has the best film programme out of all the universities in the country, so it was an easy choice for me.
Choosing Film
I have always loved stories and storytelling. Film takes advantage of the visual medium, meaning there are endless ways of telling the stories you want to tell.
Getting motivated
Aside from your own creative projects, Victoria University fosters opportunities to work with postgraduate students in the film programme, giving you a taste at what higher level film can offer you and lead to.
