Geoffrey Davies Memorial Prize
Information
This prize is in memory of Geoffrey Allan Davies, the infant son of Bob Davies and Kathleen Davies, whose death has been associated with the toxic environment to which his father had been exposed during military service in South Viet Nam (1968-69). It is especially fitting that this Prize be associated with the discipline of International Relations that was created in the first place to help solve the "scourge of war".
The prize shall be awarded on the recommendation of the Head of the School of History, Philosophy, Political Science and International Relations, in consultation with the academic staff and Head of Political Science and International Relations Programme.
Recipients names will be inscribed on the Honours Board at the School of History, Philosophy, Political Science and International Relations.
Recipients will be asked to write a letter of thanks, which will be forwarded appropriately.
