F P Wilson Scholarship in New Zealand History
Information
This prize was founded by the late Professor Francis Prenderville Wilson, Professor of History from 1921 until 1934. Professor Wilson bequeathed his residuary estate for the establishment of prizes or scholarships to promote the study of the history of New Zealand.
This scholarship is awarded annually to the student who, having completed the degree of Bachelor of Arts with Honours, is preparing a thesis for the degree of Master of Arts on a topic of New Zealand History and in the opinion of the Head of the History Programme is the best such student and is worthy of the award.
If the Scholarship is not awarded, the funds will be invested back into the capital fund.
Recipients will be asked to write a letter of thanks, which will be forwarded appropriately.
