The glasshouses at the School of Biological Sciences have spectacular views of Wellington harbour and the Rimutaka ranges.

The glasshouses are fitted with cooling fans and heaters to ensure optimal temperature control.

In addition, the School maintains four growth rooms with complete light and temperature control. These are used to incubate organisms as diverse as mosses, higher plants, insects, and frogs.
