Collaborations
Research is becoming increasingly collaborative and I have been working with many researchers both overseas and in New Zealand. Below is a selection of current collaborators and links to their webpages:
- Andrew Marshall, University of Michigan
- Chris Wilmers, University of California, Santa Cruz
- Mark Elbroch, Panthera
- Rahel Sollmann, University of California, Davis
- David Casady, California Department of Fish and Wildlife
- Doug Armstrong, Massey University
Funding
As a group, we have been extremely successful in receiving external research funding. The Mendocino and Siskiyou Deer Studies alone have received over $2.8 million USD in funding from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. This funding has been absolutely essential to conduct our research.
A special thanks to the following agencies and organisations for funding research in my group:
- California Department of Fish and Wildlife
- California Deer Association
- National Geographic Society
- Felidae Conservation Fund
- Habitat Conservation Trust Fund (British Columbia)
- Wellington City Council
