Urban ecology

Urban environments pose complex challenges to the management of biodiversity and require innovative approaches. Urban greenspace, with its pockets of native plants and animals, provides opportunities for conservation near where people live, work and play. The residential environment is also habitat that might be enhanced for native biodiversity.

From improving environments for biodiversity to understanding how wildlife use urban landscapes, CBRE’s researchers help maintain and restore native species in urban environments.
