Research interest

I am interested in various aspects of social insect biology (ants, bees and wasps). My research has recently been mostly revolving around pathogens of social insects, especially honey bees. I use a range of techniques ranging from field surveys, laboratory experiments using live insects, bench work (DNA/RNA extractions, PCR and qPCR), high-throughput sequencing and bioinformatics analyses as well as data analysis with R.
