Support for Māori and Pasifika students
The School of Social and Cultural Studies is committed to fulfilling our obligations under the Treaty of Waitangi. There is a range of services in place to support Māori and Pasifika students.

Teaching, Learning & Equity committee
The School Teaching, Learning & Equity Committee is responsible for initiating, developing and managing the school’s equity policies and strategies and communicating its work with all other members of the school. Its key goals are to ensure the identification and removal of any barriers to equity with particular regard to Māori and Pasifika students and students with disabilities. The committee meets regularly to discuss all matters pertaining to equity policies and strategies and to review their impact and/or outcomes.
