Book a venue
All registered clubs and groups can book up to three hours per week for meetings, training, practices or key events on any of the three campuses at no charge.
Venues and spaces
The University has a range of rooms and spaces you can book for your club’s activities across the three campuses at Kelburn, Pipitea, and Te Aro.
There are social and meeting room spaces available at the Hub, the Student Union building at Kelburn, and the Law Common Room at Pipitea.
Sport and recreation spaces can be booked at the Recreation Centre, the Boyd-Wilson complex, and Salamanca Courts.

Make a booking
To book a space for your meeting, training, practices, or event, complete the online booking form.
If you need advice on the best space for your activity, get in touch with the Clubs team by email at university-clubs@vuw.ac.nz, or pop into the Clubhouse (SU401) for a chat.
When completing the form, you’ll need to provide:
- activity name and type
- date of event (or start and finish dates if it is a booking for a long-term event)
- number of attendees
- preferred room or location (if you have one).
Ensure that you provide as much information as possible and include any additional services you may require such as AV equipment, security, cleaning, or assistance with health and safety compliance.
All bookings are subject to the venue booking terms and conditions.
Make sure you link your booking requests to your club's unique ID Code to ensure the request is allocated to the club's free hours.
