Connect

Get in touch with us at the Policy Hub and we’ll help connect you with a policy maker or academic researcher working in your area.

Find a policy official

If you work at the University, it’s not always easy to find the right person to engage with when you have some valuable insights for the development of a new policy. The New Zealand Government’s Chief Science Advisers (CSA) network was established to bridge that gap.

The Prime Minister’s CSA office is committed to deepening connections between the academic and policy communities. As a researcher, you are encouraged to use the Departmental Chief Science Advisers to find the right people to engage with in government departments.

Connect with an academic expert

If you work in government or elsewhere in the policy-making community, you'll want access to the latest and most thorough academic research on your topic of interest.

Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington has academic staff with a wealth of expertise on a wide range of subjects. Use the 'Find a researcher' tool to find an academic researcher working in your area and get support for developing policy.

Centres, institutes, and chairs

The University has many research centres, institutes, and professorial research chairs working on collaborative and specialised research.

Our research centres are made up of research staff within schools and often include academics from other disciplines and faculties. Many have a national or international focus and are linked with other organisations and universities.
