Tautai

Learn more about Tautai, an academic preparation programme for all new Pasifika students starting at the University in 2025.

Tautai, meaning 'navigator' in Tuvaluan, reflects the rich tradition of oceanic navigation in Pasifika cultures. Just as our ancestors once sailed vast oceans, relying on skills such as reading the stars, the currents, and the winds, this programme is designed to equip our new undergraduate Pasifika tauira with the study skills and knowledge to help them navigate their academic journey.

The 2025 Tautai pre-orientation programme was held from 10–13 February 2025.

This exciting programme aims to ease the transition to tertiary education and help you build a strong foundation for academic success and wellbeing. If you are joining our university community in 2025 we invite and encourage you to attend and make the most of this valuable opportunity.
