Teaching
Although NZCCRI is primarily a research institute, our staff are also involved in teaching. Find out about the courses we teach.
NZCCRI is primarily a research institute. Even so, our staff lead many of the core courses in the Master of Climate Change Science and Policy. We also contribute to the course work offered by colleagues in other departments at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington.
Master of Climate Change Science and Policy
Climate change is one of the biggest challenges our world faces. The 180-point Master of Climate Change Science and Policy (MCCSP) gives students the necessary combination of policy and science knowledge to address the real-world problem of climate change.
The MCCSP is a cross-disciplinary programme that combines taught courses with a research essay or a placement with an external organisation. NZCCRI staff contribute to the required courses, which include:
- CCSP 401—Physical Basis of Climate Change
- CCSP 402—Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation
- CCSP 403—International Climate Change Policy
- CCSP 404—Climate Change Mitigation.
