About
Craig Gamble graduated with an MA in Creative Writing with Distinction from Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington in 2014. His MA thesis The Watchlist won the Adam Foundation Prize in the same year.
His short story 'The Rule of Twelfths' appeared in Monsters in the Garden: An Anthology of Aotearoa New Zealand Science Fiction and Fantasy published in 2020. In 2021 he edited Middle Distance: Long Stories of Aotearoa New Zealand, an anthology of long form stories that included a wide variety of genres and styles.

Craig was awarded a Michael King Emerging Writers residency in 2022. He has worked as Publishing Manager at Te Herenga Waka University Press for over 13 years and in the book trade for more than 25 years. He is currently on the selection panel for Copyright Licensing Limited's Contestable Funding Grants, and was previously vice-president of the Publishers Association of New Zealand.
