Dismantling the tower crane
The tower crane on the Living Pā site will be dismantled from 5 am to 5 pm on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 April. There will be a one-lane road closure throughout this period.

Victoria University of Wellington – The Living Pā Tower Crane Dismantling
Tēnā koe,
L.T. McGuinness Ltd have been engaged by Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington to undertake the construction of The Living Pā, located at 49 Kelburn Parade.
On Friday 26 April 2024 through to Saturday 27 April 2024 L.T. McGuinness will be disassembling and removing the tower crane from the construction site.
Titan Cranes and JD Rigging will be undertaking these works on the Western side of Kelburn Parade and will have a large set up of mobile cranes and auxiliary vehicles. This process takes two days of relatively calm weather, if the works are unable to occur on the above two days the team will move to the following weekend. Another letter will be sent around if this occurs.
These works will result in a one lane road closure Kelburn Parade which will occur from the hours of 5 am – 5 pm every day for the aforementioned days.
On the Friday 26 April 2024 through to Saturday 27 April 2024 only one car width will be able to drive through. Stop / Go signs will be utilised throughout to day to direct traffic and pedestrians safely.

Bus times will be running as normal but are expected to be disrupted due to this road closure.
