Ngā Tau o Te Herenga Waka is a project inspired by a gathering of different generations of alumni from Te Herenga Waka marae who attended Kathy ‘Gran’ Samuel’s tangihanga.

A shared willingness to learn waiata over the years grew and this project was given impetus by the opening of the new Living Pā and reawakening of Te Tumu Herenga Waka.

Ngā Tau o Te Herenga Waka ended up collecting 13 waiata in a booklet and getting them professionally filmed.
