The Living Pā site will be busy for the next two weeks, as we aim to put the final piles in at the south end of the site, alongside other works. Further information about specific works is included below.
South end of site (Glasgow St)
To achieve the Living Pā’s ‘net positive energy’ and ‘carbon reduction’ targets, the foundation system for the building comprises driven and drilled timber piles.
Monday 26 June – Friday 7 July
- Due to piling works we anticipate intermittent medium to loud construction noise, between 7.30 am–6 pm.
- Superstructure erection will continue during the same period.
Front of Murphy Annex construction work
The Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) is an important part of the 'net zero water' target for the Living Pā.
The new permanent bus stop is a joint initiative with Greater Wellington Regional Council to showcase a commitment to sustainability in the built environment.
Monday 3 – Friday 7 July
- Low to medium level excavation noise for works around the Waste Water Treatment Plant is anticipated during the week 3–7 July.
- Construction of the bus shelter foundations will continue through this period with medium to loud construction noise anticipated during the week 3–7 July.
Arohamai, we apologies for the disturbance caused by construction works.
Ngā whakamahuki—Progress
Superstructure construction is progressing well. We have welcomed back our piling rigs and crews to complete inground works at the south end of the site.
Ngā meka ngāhau—Fun facts
