It’s a very busy time on the Living Pā construction site with a number of active work areas, including piling and excavation works for the Waste Water Treatment Plant, and piling and in-ground works that will enable the next timber superstructure grid to be erected.

Front of Murphy Annex construction work

Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) piling and excavation works are continuing at the front entrance of the Murphy Annex, 38–40 Kelburn Parade, until the end of May. The WWTP system is related to the Living Pā’s ‘responsible water use’ and ‘net positive water’ objectives.

Wednesday 17–Monday 22 May—Due to piling works we anticipate periods of loud persistent noise and vibrations.

Monday 22 May–end May — Due to excavation works resuming, anticipate intermittent medium to loud construction noise.

As a part of the Living Pā’s ‘net positive energy’ and ‘carbon reduction’ targets, the building's design includes driven and drilled timber piles.

Wednesday 17–end May—Due to piling superstructure works, anticipate intermittent medium to loud construction noise.

We appreciate that these works may be causing disturbance. This is especially so for our close neighbours, and Murphy Annex and Murphy building occupants. We apologise for the disturbance.
