Living bus stop
Part of the footpath in front of Murphy Annex will be closed from 12 - 24 February, to allow resurfacing to include grading to allow the footpath to raise into the bus stop. This work is essential for future bus stop accessibility.
Greater Wellington Regional Council have works planned to complete the bus stop and ready it for opening mid-March.. Pedestrian crossing access will be maintained and staff and students can access the building safely at either end of the site.
The footpath closure area is shown in the image below.

The work will go ahead in two stages.
12 – 16 February
- Preparation and planning for raising of footpath and installation of handrails. Closure of footpath, barriers in place.
19 – 24 February
- The existing footpath will be removed to prepare for power connection and a new surface to be laid.
- Concrete will be poured to create the base of the new footpath.
- Night works on 22 February, allowing power to be connected, with accompanying footpath digging works.
The new footpath is expected to be complete on Monday 26 February, with the footpath reopening on Tuesday 27 February.
