What if we could reimagine copyright?
Professor Kimberlee Weatherall, University of Sydney
The fundamental reasons for copyright are important. It’s a good time to re-examine questions such as
- why do we have the law?
- what should it achieve?
Professor Weatherall will introduce themes from her book “What if we could reimagine copyright” (co-edited with Rebecca Giblin) and discuss issues in copyright reform including fair dealing and technological protection mechanisms. She will also provide a comparison with Australian law and its reform process.
