You’ll also have the opportunity to work in The Atom—Te Kahu o Te Ao Innovation Space, a co-working space for student entrepreneurs.

Requirements

In order to complete a minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship you must complete four courses from the minor’s schedule as part of your degree.

Complete the following two core courses:

• SME Internationalisation (IBUS 205)
• Entrepreneurship in Practice (MGMT 307)

Plus, one of the following pairs:

Commercial Law

• Legal Environment of Business (COML 203)
• Intellectual Property and Business Innovation (COML 312)

Finance

• Intro to Corporate Finance (FINA 201) or Corporate Finance for Accounting and Business (FINA 211)
• Entrepreneurial Finance (FINA 309)

Information Systems

• Business Process Design and Management (INFO 204)
• Digital Business Innovation (INFO 334)

Management

• Organisation Innovation and Change (MGMT317)
• 15 points from MGMT 200–299

Public Policy

• Policy Analysis Methods and Practice (PUBL 210)
• Innovations in Public Policy (PUBL 310)

The prerequisites for courses in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship minor schedule have been designed to enable students from any degree program to complete the minor within their existing course of study in the most efficient manner possible.
