Moving beyond dusty guidelines: developing a national clinical practice guidelines dissemination and implementation model for New Zealand’s maternity system
Profile
Tarra is a doctoral candidate at the Centre for Women's Health Research in the School of Health. She is a medical anthropologist with 18 years of experience in maternal and child health, reproductive health, gender-based violence prevention and HIV/AIDS. Her recent work includes the introduction of misoprostol for prevention and treatment of post-partum hemorrhage in the Zimbabwean health care system. Her doctoral research focuses on developing a model for clinical practice guideline dissemination and implementation for maternity services to improve maternal and infant health outcomes.
