Wellington Doctoral Scholarships
Wellington Doctoral Scholarships are awarded on academic merit. There are limited numbers of scholarships available each round and applications for these scholarships are very competitive.
If your application for a Wellington Doctoral Scholarship was made at admission and was unsuccessful, you may re-apply, but you will need to provide additional supporting information such as:
- publication of papers in reputable journals
- presentation of papers at international conferences
- confirmation of research capability when evidence (e.g., final grades) was not initially available.

Doctoral Submission Scholarships
Victoria University of Wellington offers a Submission Scholarship to support candidates in the final three months prior to submission of the thesis, providing no other scholarship support is available.
